These notes surfaced during housecleaning. I thought there was some good stuff.

Palestinian/Israeli Peace talks about par for the course: Can't get to the table

Over the past couple of months, the Obama Administration has tried to impose it's will in the ongoing Middle East peace talks. This edition has Netanyahu in place as the Israeli leader and Mahmoud Abbas, the tenuous leader of a scant majority of Arabs in the Palestinian territory. While more hardcore factions refuse to recognize Abbas as their leader, Hamas being front and center of this group, Abbas has the support of the rest of the fractured would-be state. Unfortuntely, the US has seen fit to try to jump-start the process of talking peace again, short circuited by Israeli settlement construction moving forward again, and perhaps the cause of Israeli development, ongoing terror by more militant factions of the Palestinian Authority, namely, you guessed it: Hamas.

Hamas, for those kiddies just getting their seats in this feature, is the militant wing of the Palestinian uprising, a runaway rogue who skunked the establishment by getting enough delegates elected several years ago to blow credability into their criminal organization. Among Hamas' stated goals: the obliteration of the Israeli state and the full takeover of Jerusalem under one rule, Islam.

As a Christian nation, The United States will never allow Isreal to fall to the arabs, but under the dangerous liberal administration in office now, Isreal is prone to allow the Palestinian Authority (PA) to gain legitimacy in the outside world's perception. And the PA is well aware.
