I'll list them here and give my feedback.
10. Huffington Post. Recently acquired by AOL, HuffPo is climbing the credibility ranks. Arianna Huffington founded this webpage after leaving public life as a self described conservative and one-time candidate for Governor of California. She switched her alignment and supported John Kerry for election and has espoused liberal, socially rooted causes since. Her website reflects her liberal leanings.
9. Fox News. Claiming it's "fair and balanced", it's one of the only conservative news outlets to make this list. More shocking discoveries to come...
8. Wikileaks. Author of , "...the largest leak of classified documents in it's, (the Pentagon's) history..",
Wikileaks has used the illegal publishing of classified documents, mostly of US Government origin, (but not all), to defame, disgrace and cause embarrassment to US public officials and military advisors. Edward Snowden is still unable to return to the US for fear of being arrested for espionage, which carries a possible death penalty. Considering the vast disclosure of classified materials it made public on the internet and the possible and probable exposure of covert activities, Wikileaks entire staff should all fret operating inside the US.
7. Al Jazeera. Originating out of Qatar, U.A.E., the middle east's most prominent news outlet is more accurately the propaganda factory for the war between Muslims of the Sharia variety and the rest of the civilized world. Although it has been removed from some US cable outlets, (it has reportedly gone under in America), Al Jazeera America was a clearly anti-American policy voice buying it's way into the inner American consciousness. Although I watched it only several times, the documentary style stories featured had a strong anti-American policy current. Whether it was a story of a former military officer recanting his statements which now favor the extremist mentality, or a witch hunt style expose on American football and it's effect on the brain, Al Jazeera was unilaterally aligned opposite the United States and it's relevance was short lived as the financial backing dried up and the jihadist's best friend in media was darkened inside the US.
6. Tomiuri Shimbun. Originating in Japan, it is the first print media on the list. With 10-15 million readers every day, it's conservative outlook mirrors Japan's "relatively traditional society".
5. The Wall Street Journal. Being the largest print newspaper in America, The WSJ has a huge dispaity within it's confines: While the news pages are notably liberal in their content, the editorial section, which has distinguished itself as one of the most influential news and opinion pages is historically conservative.
4. CCTV. The state owned Central China TV network has 19 different channels broadcast throughout the worlds most populated nation and all over the world, bringing the communist state's daily soup to potentially more than 1 billion viewers . Bon Appetite!
3. The New York Times. Since it started in 1851, the "go to" outlet for reliable news has seen it's heyday come and gone. With over 100 Pulitzers and headlines like "God is Dead", the NYT has solidified itself as a liberal leaning publication with a massive amount of readers and huge stroke and influence in the world. Reported by Ask Men.com to be balanced, it's editorial board is hopelessly mired in political correctness and secular ideology. In no way does it reflect the foundations our nation was started from.
2. CNN. Started in 1980 by Ted Turner in Atlanta, Ga, USA, CNN has gone world wide with it's 24-7 news cycle. The measuring stick for all other news outlets, CNN has fully signed on to the transformation of the American ideal as a liberal socialistic experiment and not a conservative nation. Sadly, the socially liberal policies and the lack of traditional conservative policies have left the American people wandering aimlessly for meaning, and an explanation of life they (we) are highly unsatisfied with.
1. The BBC. With over 23,000 employees and viewership all over the world thanks to the BBC World Service, the British Broadcasting Corporation is the largest media outlet in the world. It doesn't make it the best, but to be sure, the pervading liberal agenda in media is carried out inside the inner workings of the BBC and almost all of the above named "most powerful" news services according the Ask Men.com
